Manager's Notes

Welcome to the webpage for the Under 9s.  Geoff and I have been involved with the club for the last 2 years where we have coached the team since they were 7/8 years of age. Last season we did extremely well, only losing 2 games and finishing with a total of 73 goals scored in 19 games.

We are looking forward to the new 2009/10 season where we are playing in the Cambridgeshire Mini Soccer under 9C League. We all know that we’ll have to work and train hard if we want to remain competitive and successful.

The team train, or play their home or away matches, on alternate Saturday mornings. Location: St Catherine’s College ground, Cambridge (this is only whilst Hardwick recreation ground undergoes repair works).

Our training sessions are structured with the emphasis on development and fun.  Sessions will run from 09:15 to 10:30 and all players will need to wear shin pads and bring a drink for both training sessions and matches.

Other Information

Match format

The under 9 matches are played in two 15 and two 7 minute halves. 6 players can only be on the pitch at any one time and there are rolling on and off subs.

Registration Fees and regulations

Registration fees are £20 per year. Cheques should be made payable to Hardwick Harriers FC .

Each team can only register 12 players for the season. This will change to 14 players per team, when in the under 10 league.

We are still on the lookout for some good players as we have recently set up a 2nd under 9s team.
