Drainage Work

As you may be aware the two pitches at Hardwick have undergone extensive drainage work over the summer months, this will prevent the floods and waterloging which have caused so much disruption to our fixtures over the last few seasons.

This means that we will be unable to use the colts pitches until the grass has had the chance to recover.  We hope that with a bit of luck and some seasonal rainfall we will be able to use the pitches again towards the end of October, watch this space.

In the mean time we have again made an agreement with Caldecote Parish Council to use the recreation ground over at Caldecote.  We used this pitch during part of last year and the facilities there are excellent.

The mini league teams and the under 12s will use the school pitch for the time being.

Thanks to Alan and Stewart for marking the pitch and preparing the goals over at Caldecote…

Last Years under 16s

This season we say goodbye to last years under 16s led by Gino Starace.

Fortunately Gino has agreed to continue as club treasurer and for that we are very grateful.  We wish the boys who played for the under 16s last season all the very best in whatever they do in the future and hope that we’ll see some of them playing in senior football at Hardwick or elsewhere.
