FA Charter Standard
In November 2004, Hardwick Harriers Football Club was awarded the Football Association Charter Standard.
The Charter Standard recognises that the club has met the Football Association’s requirements with respect to:
- Constitution and Club Management
- Financial Management
- Qualification of all Coaches to FA Level 1 as a minimum
- Child Protection
- First Aid
The award of the Charter Standard means that we have a more professional approach and can deliver effective coaching in a safe environment. Club Finances and Committee activity are effectively managed and development continues to ensure the long term future of the club. Within the principles of the Charter Standard we are able to form good relations with parents and other community groups.
The club is very proud of the Charter Standard and in order that the standard is maintained, all coaches are required to attain their Coaches qualification as early as possible. This includes First Aid training as approved by the Football Association.
Child Protection is a key element of the Charter Standard and the club maintains a firm policy in respect of this. All coaches attend the FA Child Protection Best Practice Workshop and this is refreshed every three years. All coaches and appointed helpers undergo Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks.
